The work we do

What landscaping can include

Plan the garden with David on site, then have the agreed work carried out. Bring together planting, beds, paths and lawn around the sun, soil, access and how you want to use the space.

  • Planting and soil preparation

Prepare the beds and choose plants for the sun, soil and upkeep you have in mind, including hedges, screening and feature planting.

  • Garden beds and edging

Shape new beds or refresh existing ones, with timber or steel edging to define the planting and keep lawn and mulch apart.

  • Paths and stepping stones

Connect the garden with stepping stones set into lawn or pebbles, planned around the routes you use through the yard.

  • New lawn

Prepare and level the ground before laying new turf, whether it is a patch of lawn or part of a wider garden project.

Free on-site quotes in North Wahroonga, with David from our Ryde-based family business.

  • Beds, lawn and paths together

We assess the sun, existing plants and the route through the garden before agreeing on the soft landscaping. Tell David about drainage concerns and future work that could disturb the new garden.

  • Keep the build within scope

Our focus is planting, garden beds, mulch and lawn. Any small wall or paving work must stay within the agreed under-$5,000 scope for that work; large structural landscaping is outside our offer.

More about Absolute

Why choose Absolute?

  • A garden planned as a whole

Discuss the planting, beds, lawn and paths together, including what can stay. David plans around the space and the amount of garden care you want.

  • Clear scope before the work

The quote sets out the garden work you have agreed on. Preparation, access and materials are considered on site, rather than pricing from the area alone.

  1. Walk through the garden

David visits for a free on-site quote. Look at the existing plants, sun, soil and access, and discuss your ideas and budget.

  2. Agree on the layout and quote

Work through where the beds, lawn and paths will go, the plant choices and what can stay. Agree on the work and price before deciding to go ahead.

  3. Prepare, plant and finish

Once the quote is accepted, arrange the timing. We prepare the ground, complete the agreed landscaping and take away the green waste from the work.

Highly recommend this landscaping company. They listened to my ideas, provided great suggestions, and delivered results that exceeded my expectations.

  • Another tree service mucked me around all morning with quote appointment changes, so I contacted Festus from Absolute Tree and he quoted over the phone his team turned up and both tree stumps were gone before sunset on the same day at a most reasonable cost. Thanks again.

  • I was a bit apprehensive about hiring a landscaper after hearing a few horror stories, especially picking someone I’d found online—but I’m so glad I went with Absolute Tree and Garden. David was extremely responsive and even shuffled his schedule to squeeze my job in earlier than expected. The team that came out were friendly, efficient, and thorough—exactly what you’d hope for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Absolute Tree and Garden to anyone.

  • David and the whole crew at Absolute Tree and Garden Services are fantastic. The work is always done very professionally and safely. The crew are very friendly and respectful. I have used them for many years across multiple properties and the service is always the same - consistently good. I like that they will push back if the request is not going to give you the best result which is great. They turn up on time!! Their rates are very reasonable as well. I fully recommend Absolute Tree and Garden Services! Stuart

  • I could not rate David and his team more highly. They did a first rate job in both my backyard and front yard. Both look fantastic and I could not be happier. David is a genuinely nice guy and very easy to relate and talk to. David’s price was very reasonable for all the work he did and I will definitely be using his services again soon. Highly recommended.

Questions about landscaping

Do I need a landscape design before getting a quote?

No. Bring your ideas or explain what is not working in the garden. David plans the layout and planting with you on site, then the agreed work is carried out. We don’t offer a separate drawn-plan service.

How our landscape design works
Can you work on one area and keep existing plants?

Yes. Landscaping can focus on a front garden, backyard, new bed or part of the lawn. Show David the plants and features you want to retain so the work can be planned around them.

Do you build retaining walls or paving?

Small garden walls and small paving jobs can be included within our under-$5,000 scope for that work. Large retaining walls, extensive paving and pools are outside this service. Discuss any walls or paved areas with David when he visits.

Can I just have new turf laid?

Yes. If the garden layout already works and you only need a new lawn, our turf-laying service covers the ground preparation and installation. It can also be part of a wider landscaping job.

Explore turf laying
How does landscaping relate to a garden makeover?

There is overlap. Landscaping brings together the planting, beds, paths and lawn. A makeover focuses on changing an existing garden’s planting or layout. Describe what you would like changed; you don’t need to choose the service name before enquiring.

Explore garden makeovers
How long will the landscaping take?

Timing depends on the preparation, planting, lawn and other work agreed, along with access and the weather. David can discuss the likely duration once he has seen the garden and the scope is clear.

Can you come back when the garden needs attention?

Yes. You can book a garden restoration for pruning, weeding, feeding and fresh mulch when needed. There is no fixed schedule, and we don’t offer lawn mowing or regular maintenance rounds.
